Crispy Hotel Style Dosa Batter In Mixer Grinder

Ingredients

3 cups rice
1 cup urad dal
500 ml water
1 cup cooked rice
1 to 2 teaspoons salt 

Method

  • Take a large vessel add urad dal and rice.
  • Wash rice and dal several times.
  • Then pour in good amount of water to soak rice and dal mixture.
  • Soak for 4 hours.
  •  Take a grinding jar add soaked mixture and little water grind for 1 minute.
  • Then add cooked rice and again grind for 1 more minute.
  • Transfer ground batter into a large vessel rest it for 6 to 12 hours or overnight depending on temperatures.
  • Add salt and little water mix gently.
  • Heat tawa add ladle full batter in the centre of tawa spread it evenly.
  • Drizzle little oil let dosa turn golden brown from bottom.
  • Lightly lift dosa from corners and take it out.

Note

Soaked poha can also be added replacing cooked rice.
If  tawa is greased before pouring batter then we cannot spread batter well.
