Paneer Butter Masala

Ingredients

Paneer (200 grams)
Butter 2 tablespoons
Ghee 2 tablespoons
Onion 2 +1 ( for Frying)
Tomato 4
Cashews 7 to 10
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Kasoori Methi 2 tablespoons
Salt to taste about 2 tsp
Fresh cream 1 cup 
Water 2 cups


Method.



  • Take 200 gms paneer cut into big cubes.
  • Heat frying pan and add ghee.
  • Carefully add paneer pieces and fry till they change colour.
  • Remove it from heat and keep aside.
  • In the same pan add 2 onion diced , cashews, tomatoes,salt to taste and 1 cup water.
  • Mix everything well and cook for 2 minutes on medium heat.
  • Switch off the flame and let them cool down and grind to fine paste.
  • In another kadai heat 2 tablespoons butter.
  • Add 1 finely chopped onion and fry till it turn golden brown.
  • Now add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and fry well.
  • Add prepared paste and turmeric mix everything well.
  • Then add chilli powder, coriander powder and garammasala powder.
  • Mix everything well.
  • Now add fresh cream , 1 cup water and salt if needed.
  • Add crushed kasoori methi to gravy and mix well.
  • Finally add fried paneer pieces.
  • Close lid and cook on low heat for 2 to 5 min.
  • Now gravy will become thick and creamy.
  • Switch off the flame and serve hot with roti or naan.
